Energy Efficiency Improvement in Sewage Treatment
The current sewage treatment plant consumes about 2.28 billion kilowatt-hours of electricity per year. The amount is equivalent to an annual electricity bill of about 8.4 billion NTD. The electricity consumption of aeration equipment in the sewage treatment process accounts for about 54% of the total electricity consumption, which is a burden for plant management. The vendor proposes applying ORAC (Oxygen Radical Absorption Capacity) technology to solve the problem of excessive electricity consumption of aeration equipment. In addition to ensuring a reduction of 40% to 70% of electricity consumption, it also takes into account the efficiency of sewage treatment to achieve the objectives of zero shortage of oxygen supply and avoid excessive aeration. The vendor recommends that the solution be applied to Dihua or Neihu sewage treatment plants practice, which is estimated to save about 62 million kWh of utility.
